An Interesting Story – Neither Slumbers nor Sleeps

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!

What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters’ arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

– Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
– He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
– It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
– The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.

Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on the Creator always. He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER.

Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps…
One of the best I have read….

The Lovely Little Girl With A Bitten Apple

Always-Delay-Judgement

Always Delay Judgement. A very worth file read!

A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands.
Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile: “my sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples?”

The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other.

The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.
Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum, and said: mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one.

No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgement.

Give others the privilege to explain themselves. What you see may not be the reality. Never conclude for others.Which is why we should never only focus on the surface and judge others without understanding them first.

Those who like to pay the bill, do so not because they are loaded, but because they value friendship above money.

Those who take the initiative at work, do so not because they are stupid but because they understand the concept of responsibility.

Those who apologise first after a fight, do so not because they are wrong but because they value the people around them.

Those who are willing to help you, do so not because they owe you any thing but because they see you as a true friend.

Those who often text you, do so not because they have nothing better to do but because you are in their heart.

One day, all of us will get separated from each other; we will miss our conversations of everything & nothing; the dreams that we had. Days will pass by, months, years, until this contact becomes rare…

One day our children will see our pictures and ask “Who are these people? “And we will smile with invisible tears because a heart is touched with a strong word and you will say: “IT WAS THEM THAT I HAD THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE WITH”

Life Began With Walking Up And Loving My Parent’s Face

A young man went to seek an important position at a large printing company. He passed the initial interview and was going to meet the director for the final interview. The director saw his resume, it was excellent. And asked,

“Have you received a scholarship for school?” The boy replied, “No.”
“Was it your father who paid for your studies?”
“Yes.” He replied.

“Where does your father work?”

“My father is a Blacksmith”

The Director asked the young to show him his hands.

The young man showed a pair of hands soft and perfect.

“Have you ever helped your parents at their job?”

“Never, my parents always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, he can do the job better than me.”

The director said: I have got a request, When you go home today, go and wash the hands of your father and then come see me tomorrow morning.

The young felt his chance to get the job was high. When he returned to his house he asked his father if he would allow him to wash their hands. His father felt strange, happy, but with mixed feelings and showed their hands to his son. The young washed his hands, little by little. It was the first time that he noticed his father’s hands were wrinkled and they had so many scars. Some bruises were so painful that his skin shuddered when he touched them.

This was the first time that the young man recognized what it meant for this pair of hands to work every day to be able to pay for his study.

The bruises on the hands were the price that he paid for their education, his school activities and his future.

After cleaning his father’s hand the young man stood in silence began to tidy and clean up the workshop. That night, father and son talked for a long time.

The next morning, the young man went to the office of the director. The Director noticed the tears in the eyes of the young when He asked him. Can you tell me what you did and what you learned yesterday at your house?

The boy replied I washed my father’s hands and when I finished I stayed and cleaned his workshop.

Now I know what it is to appreciate and recognize that without my parents , I would not be who I am today. By helping my father I now realize how difficult and hard it is to do something on my own. I have come to appreciate the importance and the value in helping the family.

The director said This is what I look for in my people. I want to hire someone who can appreciate the help of others. A person who knows the hardship of others to do things, and a person who does not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired.

A child that has been favored, Protected and usually given him what he wants, develops a mentality of ‘I have the right’ and will always put himself first, ignoring the efforts of their parents. If we are this type of protective parent are we really showing love or are we destroying our children?

You can give your child a big house , good food , computer classes , watch on a big screen TV . But when you’re washing the floor or painting a wall , please let him experience that too.

After eating have them wash the dishes with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you have no money to hire someone to do this it’s because you want to love them the right way . No matter how rich you are, you want them to understand. One day your hair will have gray hair, like the father of this young man.

Story by Moses Sebastian.

The most important thing is that your child learns to appreciate the effort and to experience the difficulties and learn the ability to work with others to get things done.

No Matter What, I Will Always Be There For You! – FATHER

This is a True Story based on earthquake in 1989.

In 1989, an 8.2 (on Richter scale) earthquake almost flattened Armenia, killing over 30,000 people in less than four minutes. In the midst of chaos, a father left his home and rushed to the school where he had left his son that morning. Only to discover that the building had been totally destroyed.

The father remembered the promise he had made to his son

‘no matter what, I will always be there for you!’

Tears began to fill his eyes as he looked at the pile of debris that once was his son’s school.

He began to concentrate on where he walked his son to class that morning. Remembering that his son’s classroom would be in a particular spot, he rushed there and started digging through the rubble.

Other parents who had gathered told him that he was wasting his time and energy, but the father would only say, “Are you going to help me?” and carry on digging.

The fire chief showed up and tried to pull him off the debris saying, “You are in danger. We will take care of it. You go home.” To which the Armenian father’s response was, “Are you going to help me find my son?”

The police came and urged the man to give up. But the distraught father courageously proceeded alone, because he needed to know for himself ‘is my boy alive or is he dead? He dug and pulled back boulder after boulder for thirty-eight hours non-stop and suddenly when he was pulling a boulder he heard his son’s voice.

“ARMOND, are you there?” He responded, “Dad, it is me, Dad! I told my friends that if my Dad is alive we would be saved! I told them you had promised me — no matter what, I will always be there for you! You did it, Dad!”

“What is going on there son?” the father asked. “We are fourteen of us, Dad. We are scared, hungry, thirsty, and thankful you are here. When the building collapsed, it made a wedge, like a triangle, and it saved fourteen of us!” The son explained.

“Come out my boy!” “No Dad! Let the other kids out first, cause I know you will get me! No matter what, /i know you’ll be there for me!”

The fireman, the police and the crowd could not believe what they saw! The man whom they had considered as traumatized with anxiety and fear was actually responding to love and was pulling one boy after another until he pulled out and embraced the 14th boy, his son Armond!

Moral: Indeed genuine love can never be understood by human measurements. God cannot be measured, God is Love! If human love can at times give us an inkling of what love is all about, what marvel God’s love for us must be! Love is patient, love is kind. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails..

Nobody On Earth Can Ever Love You More Than Your (o.._/\_..o)

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow.

He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.

“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.

“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”

“Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

“Come and play with me” the tree said.

“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”

“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

“Come and play with me!” the tree said.

“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.

“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you”, the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the
man replied.

“No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.

“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.

“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

This Story by Shel Silverstein

~ Moral ~ Treat your parents with loving care…. For you will know their value, when you see their empty chair…We never know the love of our parents  for us; till we have become parents
